Rev. Roger William Thomas, a native of
Gaffney, South Carolina (at the big peach) earned his Bachelor of Arts in
Religion from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, his Master of
Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville,
Kentucky, and is a candidate for Doctor of Ministry at Garner-Webb
University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. Before accepting the
call to Albemarle he served as pastor to churches in Atlanta, Georgia,
Lowrys, South Carolina, and served as Minister of Education and Youth at
Duncan, South Carolina as well as Minister of Youth for two summers at two
other churches.
