The Royal Ambassador Program encourages
grade school boys to learn more about world missions and how they can
have a positive christian influence on others in their own community and
around the world. At the First Baptist of Albemarle, we combine
athletic activities with mission studies to increase participation and
interest in the program.
Under the direction of Minister
Charles Royal, the Royal Ambassadors have expanded the program to
include the study and use of world wide computer networks.
Through these networks, our Ambassadors can easily communicate with
missionaries in the field, and discover what it means to be a missionary
in a foreign country. Part of this effort includes the
construction and maintenance of these web pages. The First Baptist
Church has established a computer center in it's library with 4 desktop
systems connected to the world wide web through a high speed broad band
DSL (MVL) modem.
The program runs from September
through May each year and includes some (or all) of the following
activities:
- Fall camping/hiking trip
- Camp

- RA Day at Wingate
