Standards to follow in web page development.
1) The webmaster will determine the web authoring software to be used
(whatever he/she is familiar with using). The webmaster is responsible for updating and maintaining the content on the internet
and is
familiar with hyper text type-up language (HTTP) and moving files via FTP or
some automated facility.
2) As of the year 2001, most users should be using a browser that supports
HTML 4.01 as defined by the W3C (world wide web committee):
see: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/
Therefore, FBC will utilize only functions defined by this standard.
Pages will be checked for appearance and functionality using the most popular
browsers.
3) Due to the workload involved, the Webmaster should not be the
editor. Information to be added to the web should be provided to the
Webmaster in digital form ready to be copied or pasted into the Webmasters
software.
4) Color schemes and style sheets must be complimentary. It is best to
utilize existing theme designs provided by professional designers. If
custom colors are desired, the use the expertise of an experienced designer.
