Rev. Doug Thompson, a native of Lenoir, North Carolina, earned
his Bachelor of Science , Physical Education degree from Appalachian State
University, Boone, North Carolina. He was called to full-time ministry in 1987
after serving as enlisted and an officer in the US Army for 12 years. He
has a Master of Divinity degree in Church Music from Southeastern Theological
Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina. Before coming to FBC he served churches
in Lumberton, Fayetteville, and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
