God is able to do all we ask

God is able to do all we ask or think

God is able to do beyond all we ask or think!

In about five weeks, America's citizens will elect their president, all the members of the House of Representatives, one-third of the Senate and hundreds of state and local officers, as well as vote on a number of important issues. Understanding what crucial days these are for our nation, The Presidential Prayer Team continues to urge prayer for the elections.

Norman and Pat Wilson have given the following books to our library:

It's Not About Me by Max Lucado in honor of Roger Thomas All our lives we have been urged to look out for ourselves. What happens when that doesn't work? We should, according to best-selling author, Max Lucado, set our sights on a different goal; a God-centered life. It works and rescues us from a life that doesn't.

Then Sings My Soul by Robert J. Morgan in honor of Doug Thompson - This collection of 150 of the world's greatest hymns tells of the richness of many best-loved hymns and reflects the impact hymns have had on ordinary people.

MISSIONS

SCCM Food Pantry needs: EVERYTHING . .

canned goods . . paper products . . peanut butter . .

all non-perishables

With this in mind, the Baptist Women challenge each Sunday School class during the month of October to bring ten items per member and place them in a receptacle in your classroom. At the end of October, the class with the highest percentage of participation will be treated to breakfast, courtesy of the Baptist Women.

We have already seen evidence of Sunday School members stepping up to the challenge issued by the Baptist Women.

This week the WMU Mission Action representatives took 167 pounds of food to the SCCM that over the past few weeks you have brought to the shopping cart outside the church office. Thank you for your continuing participation in this mission project.
