Transition Management Committee
Formed by congregational approval Feb 18, 2001

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Transition Management Committee (TMC) will consist of 9 members of the congregation.  The TMC will be selected by a nominating committee appointed by the deacon chairman.  The nominations will be presented first to the deacons, then to the church for approval.  The TMC will serve to keep the congregation informed of all matters of importance during the transition period.  The TMC will make recommendations to the deacons and to the church concerning matters which need to be done in the transition period, such as procuring a preaching interim, etc.  During the time that the church is without a minister, the TMC will serve as a resource group for the staff if any problems arise which need immediate attention.  The TMC will serve as a source of information to the congregation to answer any questions which may arise.  The TMC will make monthly reports to the deacons at their regular meeting time.  The TMC will conclude it's work when a senior minister is called in on the field.

    The committee members as recommended by the chairman of the deacons, the chairman of the nominating committee, and our pastor, and approved by the diaconate are:

A Search Committee for a Senior Pastor will be formed at a later date.  The Senior Pastor is expected to begin service sometime after January 2002.
